The epidemic prevention medical team from the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is heading to Lushan Xihai Sanatorium.

On March 12, 77 medical team members from the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, who had been involved in fighting the epidemic in the province, arrived at Lushan West Sea for centralized recuperation.

It is understood that this provincial hospital of traditional Chinese medicine is the only all-TCM treatment team among Jiangxi’s designated hospitals for COVID-19 response, having collectively participated in the treatment of more than 80 patients. To welcome the arrival of the 77 “white-clad warriors,” the scenic area has developed a detailed operational plan. In addition to providing hotel and dining services, they have also issued centralized health cards for the recuperating medical staff and are recording their body temperatures twice daily. After an intense and high-pressure period working in the isolation wards, the medical team members will now “boost their spirits” and rest at the Xihai Hotel for a 14-day recovery period.

In recent days, in this warm “new quarantine home,” medical staff—who are usually accustomed to being busy—have been taking advantage of their rare breaks to enrich themselves by engaging in activities such as running, playing badminton, skipping rope, and doing therapeutic exercises. They’ve also sent a letter of gratitude to the scenic area, looking forward to returning to work in even better physical and mental condition. Liu Liangqi, deputy director of the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, told reporters: “After we arrived, we found that the environment here is wonderful and the services are excellent—everyone is extremely satisfied. We take time each day for moderate exercise, and this kind of isolation and recuperation is truly beneficial for restoring our physical and mental health.”

Lushan West Sea is still making every effort to prepare for the arrival of medical personnel who have completed their mission of providing medical care and treatment in Hubei, welcoming them here for recuperation. In addition, the scenic area has introduced a series of preferential policies as a tribute and gift to medical staff across the country.
