Lushan West Sea warmly welcomes the first batch of tourists after reopening!

2020-02-28

On February 22, the Lushan Xihai Scenic Area welcomed its first batch of visitors since reopening after a 28-day closure.

As soon as visitors step into the lobby of the Sima Scenic Area’s visitor center, staff members promptly approach them with friendly reminders about essential precautions for entering the scenic area: temperature checks, special discounts and benefits, provision of disposable masks, use of disinfection facilities, and maintaining social distancing when boarding the boats. After completing the registration, visitors board the boats in an orderly manner under the guidance of their tour guides to enjoy a leisurely cruise on the lake. Once they reach the Xihai Zhi Xing glass tower, the stunning scenery and expansive views instantly lift their spirits, dispelling any lingering gloom from staying at home. Visitors eagerly pull out their phones to capture the breathtaking beauty of thousands of islands shimmering like pearls and vast stretches of emerald waters.

[Mr. Zhou, a tourist] My family has been cooped up at home for far too long, so we came out here to breathe some fresh air. Plus, from here you can see the entire Lushan Xihai Scenic Area—lots of islands, big and small—and the view is truly spectacular.

It is reported that Lushan Xihai has adhered to the principle of “prioritizing both epidemic prevention and economic development,” implementing stringent preventive measures, thoroughly disinfecting scenic spots and cruise ships, and formulating emergency response plans. Designated observation areas have been set up in accordance with regulations, ensuring that any unexpected situations can be handled scientifically and promptly. In the past, March marked the peak season for tourism; Lushan Xihai has actively seized this opportunity to make up for losses caused by the pandemic.
