[Lei Feng Month] Zhelin Town, Xishan Lake, Lushan: Colorful Civilized Practices Promote the Spirit of Volunteer Service

Lei Feng is a role model for our times, and the spirit of Lei Feng is timeless—a unique blend of 5,000 years of outstanding Chinese culture and the red revolutionary tradition. To carry forward the spirit of Lei Feng, inspire young people to put the core socialist values into practice, and promote the volunteer spirit of “dedication, friendship, mutual assistance, and progress,” Zhalin Town has launched a month-long volunteer service campaign dedicated to learning from Lei Feng.

On March 1, Zhalin Town organized young Communist Youth League members and volunteers to launch a “Learn from Lei Feng—Beautify Our Environment” clean-up campaign. At the event site, volunteers wore red vests and carried cleaning tools such as brooms and dustpans to tidy up green belts within the jurisdiction. Some volunteers swept up dead branches and fallen leaves, while others removed white litter from the grassy areas. The young volunteers took pride in their labor and put the spirit of Lei Feng into practice through concrete actions.

After the cleanup, the green belt looked brand-new. The volunteers said that to learn from Lei Feng’s spirit, we must start with small things, put our words into action, and make more contributions.
