Notice on Prohibiting the Use of Open Fires in Forest Areas and Wildlands

Currently, the entire region has fully entered the critical period for forest fire prevention. To strictly prevent forest fires, maintain stability in forested areas, and effectively safeguard the lives and property of the people, in accordance with the relevant provisions of the “Jiangxi Province Forest Fire Prevention Regulations,” we hereby issue the following notice regarding the prohibition of open fires in forest areas:

I. Fire-Prohibition Period : From October 1, 2020, to April 30, 2021 。

II. Fire-Prohibited Areas : All forested areas within the entire district. 。

III. Fire Prohibition Requirements During the fire-prohibited period, all personnel entering fire-prohibited areas must strictly comply with the regulations. Seven Prohibitions :

(1) It is prohibited to set off firecrackers, light lanterns, burn paper money, burn incense and candles, or engage in any other sacrificial fires in forested areas.

(2) Persons entering the mountains are prohibited from bringing fire sources into the mountains and forests.

(3) Smoking and outdoor cooking or barbecuing are prohibited in forested areas.

(4) It is prohibited to light fires or use torches for nighttime illumination in forest areas.

(5) Prohibit unauthorized burning of mountains without approval;

(6) It is prohibited to burn wasteland, dry branches and fallen leaves, weeds on field ridges and embankments, fire-soaked soil and manure, or crop stalks such as rice straw in forested areas.

(7) Prohibit all other activities that could potentially cause forest fires.

IV. Accountability Any violation of the above-mentioned provisions that constitutes a crime shall be subject to criminal liability in accordance with the law; for those that do not yet constitute criminal punishment, administrative penalties shall be imposed in accordance with the law.

V. Other Requirements Party members and cadres must take the lead in implementing and conscientiously complying with fire prevention regulations, and actively participate in forest fire prevention efforts.
