On September 1, Chen Jitian, a member of the municipal government’s Party leadership group and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Scenic Area, presided over a coordination meeting on the 5A-level tourism development initiative for Lushan Xihai, held at the Creation Office. Zheng Qinghua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Scenic Area and Director of the Management Committee, and Zou Xiufeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, also attended the meeting.

The meeting heard reports from the Creation Office, the Meizhe Line Level Crossing Project Team, the Zhelin Old Town Project Team, the Smart Scenic Area Project Team, and various working groups on the current progress of their respective tasks. The meeting conducted an in-depth analysis and discussion of existing issues and challenges, and further clarified the key priorities for the current phase of work.

Chen Jitian emphasized that as we enter the critical stage of our efforts, we must face challenges squarely, remain confident, and go above and beyond the ordinary. We should seize opportunities, focus on key areas, devise effective solutions, and take concrete actions to firmly secure the prestigious national 5A-level tourist attraction designation. Chen Jitian called for adhering to both problem-oriented and goal-oriented approaches, breaking down tasks into specific items, and employing diverse and flexible strategies to tackle problems and difficulties. We must further strengthen communication and coordination with design firms to ensure seamless integration, closely monitor responsibilities, task schedules, and deadlines, and use progress targets to drive forward our work. It is crucial to emphasize resource integration and build a high-standard smart tourism platform, enabling visitors to enjoy attentive and professional services—including tourism consultation and transportation—while striving to become a national leader and the top in our province. We must also excel in scenic area management and staff training, substantially enhance the software service capabilities of our scenic areas, improve service quality, and boost their overall appeal. We need to vigorously promote environmental improvements, continuously consolidate existing achievements, and ensure that the scenic areas present a clean, unified, and visually striking appearance. Moreover, we should enrich the new dimensions of tourism, cultivate emerging tourism models, continually optimize spatial layouts, improve people’s livelihoods, and resolutely win this tough battle of 5A-level certification, thereby driving the scenic area toward high-quality, leapfrog development.
