On September 18, Li Xiaoping, Vice Mayor of the municipal government, visited Lushan Xihai to conduct a field inspection of the 5A-level scenic area development and National Day tourism safety efforts. Chen Jitian, member of the municipal government’s Party Leadership Group and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the scenic area, and Zou Xiufeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee, accompanied him.
Li Xiaoping conducted on-site inspections of the progress of several projects, including the renovation of the Sima Tourist Center, smart tourism initiatives, the upgrade and transformation of islands being developed into 5A-rated tourist destinations, and environmental improvements in the Hetou group of Yijiahe Village as part of the 5A designation effort. He then held a symposium at the Creation Office to listen to reports on the ongoing work, and coordinated efforts to address key and challenging issues.
Li Xiaoping said that the effort to achieve 5A status for Lushan Xihai has overcome numerous challenges and achieved remarkable results. On behalf of the municipal Party committee and municipal government, he expressed condolences, recognition, and gratitude to everyone. He pointed out that the creation process is about to reach a critical juncture—a major test—and urged everyone to adopt the same fighting spirit and high standards as those applied during the run-up to National Day, the Golden Week holiday, and the final push to secure 5A status. It’s essential to coordinate and effectively carry out tasks such as epidemic prevention and control, project advancement, tourism reception, and tourism safety.
Li Xiaoping requested that: First, progress must be further accelerated. We need to overcome all adverse factors, fully ensure adequate logistical support—including personnel, safety, materials, and equipment—and strictly adhere to the established timelines for efficient implementation. Second, quality must be further enhanced. We should strive for excellence, delivering high-quality projects and maintaining integrity. From the perspective of tourists, we must scientifically and rationally optimize planning and design, paying meticulous attention to details and making significant improvements in subtle aspects, thereby genuinely enhancing tourists’ comfort, engagement, and satisfaction. Third, contingency plans must be further refined. We need to thoroughly anticipate potential issues related to National Day travel itineraries, transportation, food, accommodation, and other aspects. We must prepare comprehensive plans for tourism reception, tourism safety, and emergency response, ensuring that our achievements stand up to market scrutiny and receive positive feedback from tourists.
