Right now is the critical period for mid-season rice flowering and grain filling. To maintain stable agricultural production in irrigation areas, alleviate the drought conditions downstream of the Xiu River, ensure irrigation water supply for 320,000 mu of farmland downstream, and address the difficulties faced by 450,000 people in terms of both production and daily life water access, the Zelin Reservoir on Lushan West Sea has begun releasing water through its gates. This move effectively integrates drought relief, irrigation, and power generation, ensuring a reliable supply of water for local agricultural production and daily life, and taking concrete steps to ease the severity of the drought.

To ensure the supply of irrigation water for orchards and other agricultural fields, the Lushan Xihai Fire Rescue Team delivered “timely rain” to the Xihai Juzhou Base in Sima Village, Zhelin Town, irrigating the parched citrus orchards, helping the citrus trees quench their thirst, relieving the worries of local residents, and addressing the urgent needs of fruit farmers.
