Lushan West Sea: This May Day holiday, positive energy in tourism has been widely reported, and civilized tourism has become a prevailing trend!
2021-05-04
On May 4, the fourth day of the May Day holiday, Lushan West Sea attracted a huge number of tourists, ranking among the top three scenic spots in the province in terms of daily visitor numbers.
Young tour guide Liu Caixin said, “Giving a rose to others leaves a fragrant scent on your own hands.” While serving tourists, we not only reap spiritual joy and fulfillment but also find it both encouraging and motivating—a source of inspiration for all of us at Xihai.

All officers of the Public Security Bureau of Lushan West Sea are fully on duty. Their presence can be seen at major transportation hubs and entry/exit points, in the tourist service halls, and in police stations... During this holiday, these “uncles” in blue uniforms are putting their words—“My beauty is West Sea’s beauty; my safety is West Sea’s safety”—into action with concrete deeds.
At around 3 p.m. on May 3, we received an emergency call reporting that a young boy had fallen while playing on Ruoxi Island, sustaining a head injury with bleeding and needing urgent medical attention for stitches. Police officers immediately used a speedboat to transport the injured boy to the dock’s medical clinic.
After the doctor at the infirmary provided simple first aid, the police officer immediately drove a police car to take the injured child and his family to Zhelin Health Center. It took only 8 minutes to safely transport the injured child to the hospital, giving him valuable time for treatment.
At 8:53 p.m. on the 3rd, the West Sea Fire Brigade received an alarm reporting that a passenger car had overturned into a ditch, trapping two people inside. Firefighters promptly rushed to the scene to carry out the rescue and successfully extricated the trapped individuals, handing them over to medical personnel for immediate emergency treatment.
Around 2 p.m. on May 1, police officers discovered a young girl who had become separated from her parents on Sangtian Island. After patiently questioning her, they learned that the girl was seven years old and had gotten lost while visiting Sangtian Island with her parents. The officers immediately contacted their counterparts on other nearby islands, asking them to keep an eye out for her family members, and used police databases to verify her identity. Shortly afterward, her parents located the officers, confirming that their child had indeed gone missing. After carefully verifying the girl’s identity, the officers safely returned her to her parents and reminded them to pay close attention to their child and to keep their personal belongings secure during the May Day holiday travel period.
On the afternoon of May 1, a young boy got separated from his parents in the parking lot and was taken by staff members to the scenic area’s command center. The police officer on duty comforted the child, telling him not to worry, and carefully asked for details about his parents’ whereabouts. Soon after, the child’s parents were led by staff members to the command center and reunited with their son. The child’s mother said, “We accidentally got separated in the parking lot. We searched everywhere but couldn’t find him— we were really frantic! We’re truly so grateful to all of you.”
On the morning of May 2, police officers on duty at the Jinshui Water World dock noticed a young child, about four years old, crying loudly and all alone on the dock. The officers immediately stepped forward to inquire about the child’s situation. Since the child was too young to speak clearly, the officers took the child into the police station, comforting him while using the public address system to search for his parents. A few minutes later, the child’s anxious mother, Ms. Liu, heard the announcement over the loudspeaker and hurriedly made her way to the police station. It turned out that while Ms. Liu had been buying tickets at the ticket window, she hadn’t kept a close eye on her child. With so many tourists around at the time, the child had slipped away unnoticed in the crowd. After becoming separated from her mother, the child had been frightened and started crying loudly—just as the officers on duty happened to spot him. Upon seeing her precious daughter safe and sound at the police station, Ms. Liu, who had been deeply worried, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the officers again and again.
