Recently, the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council issued the "Notice on Doing a Good Job in Providing Services and Ensuring Support for People to Celebrate the Lunar New Year Where They Are." The Notice calls for reasonably and orderly guiding the public to celebrate the Lunar New Year in their current locations.

 

• Epidemic High-risk areas The public should all celebrate the New Year where they are, minimizing population movement.

 

• Medium-risk area In principle, the public is encouraged to celebrate the Spring Festival locally. For those with special circumstances who need to travel, approval from the local epidemic prevention and control authorities is required.

 

• Low-risk area Advocate that the public celebrate the New Year locally and avoid unnecessary travel;

 

• Personnel from government agencies, public institutions, and state-owned enterprises should take the lead in celebrating the Spring Festival locally.

 

• Encourage migrant workers from other regions and teachers and students who have not yet graduated to celebrate the Spring Festival locally.

 

• Personnel who absolutely need to travel should, in principle, not go to medium- or high-risk areas.

 

• We must earnestly strengthen the guarantee of daily necessities and energy supply, ensuring that essential goods remain continuously available and never run out of stock.

 

• We must provide effective management and services for those celebrating the Spring Festival in place, promptly responding to and meeting their needs.

 

• To ensure convenient and orderly travel for the public and smooth freight and logistics flows, we must do our utmost to meet the travel needs of those celebrating the Spring Festival locally—such as shopping, leisure, and entertainment.

 

• To safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of people celebrating the Spring Festival in their current locations—such as wages and paid leave—we should retain workers by offering job opportunities and retaining them through competitive salaries.

 

In accordance with the requirements of the Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism of the State Council for COVID-19 Response regarding scientific risk classification and targeted prevention and control measures, effective January 25, 2021, Fangjiachuang Village in Pingshan County, Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, will be reclassified as a medium-risk area, while Ping'an Residential Community in Qiaoxi District, Shijiazhuang; Tianhai Yutianxia Residential Community in Yuhua District; Zhuyu Cheng Residential Community in the High-tech Zone; Dongbei Yuancun Village in Wuji County; and Xihaozhuang Village will be reclassified as low-risk areas.

 

As of 10:00 a.m. on January 25, there are 6 high-risk areas and 62 medium-risk areas nationwide. Wash your hands frequently, wear masks, strictly enforce prevention and control measures, and take good personal protective measures!
