The 2020 “China Sports Lottery Cup” Poyang Lake Cycling Elite Race will kick off with an exciting event on November 15 at the Jiujiang·Lushan West Sea Station.
The International Cycling Race Around Poyang Lake (hereinafter referred to as the "Race Around Poyang") is an international professional cycling event hosted by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province and covering 11 prefecture-level cities in Jiangxi. With strong support from governments at all levels in Jiangxi and various social forces, the race has been successfully held for 10 consecutive sessions.

In the post-pandemic era, to meet the strong public demand for sports and health and to deeply explore and implement integrated development of sports, culture, tourism, and health, we are actively promoting Jiangxi Province as a model for the integrated development of sports and tourism. Building on the "Tour of Poyang Lake," the organizing committee has launched the Poyang Lake Cycling Elite Race (hereinafter referred to as the "Poyang Elite Race"). Focusing on four key initiatives—mass fitness, event-based tourism, event marketing, and sports-related public welfare—the race is guided by the principle of "sports plus tourism." It fully integrates the province's scenic and cultural attractions, targets the general public, promotes the development of mass fitness, extends the "food, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment" industrial chain, stimulates consumption, and boosts the local economy.
To ensure the coordinated implementation of COVID-19 prevention and control measures, this year’s competition is open exclusively to domestic athletes; athletes from overseas will not be invited.

Jinkou Tourist Marina—The starting and finishing point of the Poyang Elite Race (Jiujiang·Lushan West Sea Station)—features a 12.5-kilometer-long racecourse. From here, hop on your bike and immerse yourself in the dynamic aquatic world, chasing the rising sun and the setting sun. As the sea and sky merge into one, mountains and waters form a breathtaking landscape, allowing you to blend seamlessly with nature, freely unleash your spirit, and savor the enchanting beauty that fills your heart with joy and contentment all day long.
Passing along Lakeside Avenue and the expressway connector, the road is wide and neatly maintained. Along the way, you’ll spot scattered mountain villages, hear the gentle murmur of rippling waters, and marvel at the lush, verdant peaks of the Cangshan Mountains—everything is breathtakingly beautiful, instantly lifting your spirits.

As you pass through the intersection and head west, you’ll wind your way along the undulating mountain terrain until you reach the Zhonghai Tourism Resort. This resort boasts the most breathtaking lakeside scenery on the western shore of Lushan Lake, with a rare combination of “7 bays, 8 islands, 1 lake, and 1 mountain.” The沿途 scenery is incredibly diverse and visually stunning—every snapshot you take feels like a cinematic masterpiece. At the same time, this route offers an exhilarating ride that’s all about “twisting curves and thrilling slopes,” putting riders’ physical stamina, endurance, and mental fortitude to the ultimate test—and ensuring that every rider’s journey is truly worth it!

After passing through the sea of flowers, our next destination is Shangfan Village in Jin’kou Township. Nestled against Xingfu Mountain and facing Lushan West Sea, Shangfan Village boasts a unique geographical setting that affords it some of the finest air, the purest water, and the brightest sunshine. Within its borders, numerous rural tourism attractions have spurred the vigorous development of various tourism-related services, including bed-and-breakfasts and farmhouses. Cycling along the rural roads of Suanzhou, you’ll be treated to unparalleled rural scenery and immerse yourself in an authentic local atmosphere. Everywhere your eyes fall, you’ll find nature’s tranquility and timelessness—leaving you feeling utterly refreshed and eager to linger longer!

After circling the route and finally returning to the Jin Kou Tourist Pier, the entire course—flanked by lush green mountains, crystal-clear waters, vibrant red leaves, colorful flowers, and rooftops of dark tiles set against white walls—will weave together with the cyclists’ diverse team uniforms, creating a series of ever-changing, flowing masterpieces that add an extra touch of enchanting charm to the thrill of speed and passion. Let’s all look forward to the 2020 Poyang Lake Cycling Elite Race (Jiujiang·Lushan West Sea Station) on November 15!
