On November 1, Li Xiaoping, Vice Mayor of the municipal government, visited Lushan Xihai to inspect the preparatory work for the 5A-level scenic area assessment. Chen Jitian, member of the municipal government’s Party Leadership Group and Party Secretary of the scenic area, Zheng Qinghua, Deputy Party Secretary and Director of the Management Committee, and Zou Xiufeng, Deputy Party Secretary, accompanied him on the inspection in turn.

Li Xiaoping conducted on-site inspections of the progress of various projects along the Meitang-Simama Dock route, including environmental improvements, level crossings on the Meizhe Line, renovation of public tourist toilets, smart tourism initiatives, and island upgrading and transformation. He listened to briefings on preparations for the upcoming inspection and held on-site discussions to coordinate and resolve key and challenging issues.

Li Xiaoping pointed out that the 5A-level creation process has entered the stage of unannounced inspections and readiness checks. We must clearly understand the situation, remain confident, maintain a wartime mindset, act promptly without delay or procrastination, and greet the national assessment team’s evaluation and acceptance with full enthusiasm and in peak condition, fully showcasing the best achievements made during the creation process.

Li Xiaoping requested that we further intensify environmental improvement efforts in accordance with the 5A scenic area standards. Following the principle of local jurisdiction, we should carry out regular image-enhancement and cleanup campaigns, as well as joint inspection and law enforcement operations, and standardize the management of vendors along the scenic routes. We must accelerate the progress of project construction, ensure adequate staffing and resources, deploy multiple machines for parallel operations, and comprehensively complete and clear all key projects to guarantee timely completion. We should further enhance the quality of tourism by focusing on high-quality tour routes, paying close attention to details and making significant improvements in even the smallest aspects, continuously enriching tourism products and elevating the level of tourism services. Moreover, we need to strengthen communication and coordination with relevant departments and experts, identify weak links, seize critical time nodes, and make every effort to implement and refine the preparatory work for the upcoming inspection.
