A dance of humans and snakes on stone
2020-11-10

In August 2000, a rare and remarkable stone was discovered not far from the entrance of Huangjing Cave in Sima Village, Zhelin Town. The stone has a diameter of about 2 meters and weighs roughly 6 tons. On its surface is a vividly detailed “Dance of the Crane and Snake,” a natural masterpiece that is remarkably clear and lifelike. According to expert analysis, this stone is a massive conglomerate, with the white patterns being quartz veins formed under intense crustal movements approximately 600 to 800 million years ago. It possesses exceptional artistic and aesthetic value. The stone has now been moved to the entrance of the Huangjing Cave scenic area, where fairies and cranes greet visitors with graceful dances, warmly welcoming them to this enchanting place.
