The Millennium Podocarpus is located in Shilong Group, Sima Village, Zhelin Town, within the Zhejiang immigrant village. It stands on the right side of Provincial Highway Jiaowu at the 25.5-kilometer mark. The tree is approximately 20 meters tall; the trunk of the first tree measures 6 meters in circumference, while that of the second tree measures 5 meters. The two trees are about 50 meters apart. These two Podocarpus trees belong to the species Podocarpus macrophyllus, which is classified under the family Podocarpaceae and the genus Podocarpus. This species boasts an exceptionally long lifespan and can survive for around 3,000 years under normal soil conditions. According to historical records from Jinling Ancient Temple and a legend that Sun Mu, the mother of Wu King Sun Quan during the Three Kingdoms period, once took refuge here, the age of these trees should be slightly over 1,800 years. The "Yongxiu County Gazetteer" states that "the age of this Podocarpus is estimated to be over 500 years," but this estimate is rather conservative. Moreover, these trees are not native to the local area—they were introduced and planted from outside the province. They have been designated as key provincial-level protected specimens.
