Chen Jitian walked along the island’s tourist route, taking a close look at the site and conducting on-site inspections of infrastructure improvements—including beautification and upgrading, safety protection measures, tourist restrooms, and guidance systems. He gained a deep understanding of the status of tourism services and market supervision, and while personally experiencing the “island route tour,” he also studied and planned ahead for the next steps. He pointed out that the process of striving for 5A-level scenic area certification should be seen as an opportunity to reorganize and revitalize tourism resources, further strengthening efforts in renovation, upgrading, and enhancing tourism services to elevate the overall quality of tourism in the region, and aiming to inject new vitality into the economic development of the scenic area with a brand-new image.

Chen Jitian called for comprehensive planning and layout, resource integration, holistic conceptualization, and meticulous attention to detail. He emphasized the need to enhance infrastructure and service facilities—including visitor guidance, transportation, and boardwalks—strengthen safety measures, and improve the greening, beautification, and illumination of tourism routes. It is crucial to prioritize ecological protection by ensuring full coverage and seamless connection of sewage networks across the islands, maintaining daily sanitation and cleanliness, and eliminating any instances of dirtiness or disorder. Furthermore, market supervision must be reinforced, with rigorous oversight of food, pharmaceuticals, and merchandise sold at restaurants and shops along the route, as well as price controls. The occurrence of secondary consumption or “garden-within-a-garden” phenomena within scenic areas must be strictly prohibited. Service training should be intensified through centralized, rotating, and systematic programs to enhance the service awareness, skills, and overall quality of tourism industry personnel, thereby elevating the service standards across the entire region. Finally, efforts must be focused efficiently and precisely, accelerating project construction timelines, improving project quality, and comprehensively boosting the visibility and reputation of the scenic area’s tourism brand.
