The China Forest Song Festival – “Sing Loudly at Lushan Xihai” Qualifying Round Was Successfully Held.

On the afternoon of July 5, the opening ceremony of the Lushan Xihai sub-venue of the 2021 Jiangxi Forest Tourism Festival and the Lushan Xihai qualifying round of "The Chinese Forest Song Festival" were held at Sima Wharf. The event was organized by the Jiangxi Provincial Forestry Bureau and Jiangxi Radio and Television Station, and hosted by the Management Committee of the Lushan Xihai Scenic Area and the Economic & Lifestyle Channel of Jiangxi Radio and Television Station.

Leaders attending the opening ceremony included Liu Bin, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Provincial Forestry Bureau; Zhang Long, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director-General of the Provincial Radio and Television Station; Song Zhilong, Second-Level Inspector of the Municipal Government; Chen Jitian, member of the Municipal Government’s Party Leadership Group and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Lushan West Sea Scenic Area; Yu Xiankui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Municipal Forestry Bureau; Xu Qing, Director of the Municipal Culture and Tourism Bureau; and Zheng Qinghua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of the Scenic Area.

Thirty advancing contestants from across the country took to the stage. They began by singing together the theme song of “China Forest Song Festival,” “The Forest Is Singing.” Then, contestants representing the three major vocal styles—bel canto, ethnic, and popular—competed on the same stage, performing in succession such songs as “Together with the Motherland,” “Rivers and Mountains,” “Ode to Heroes,” “On the Fields of Hope,” and “Jiangxi’s Scenery Is Uniquely Beautiful”—all celebrating the beauty of China and its pristine landscapes of green mountains and clear waters. Their performances ranged from passionate and rousing to tender and melodious, and from sweetly enchanting to deeply heartfelt; their sincere voices resonated directly with the audience, delivering a truly exhilarating musical feast. The interactive design featuring全民 (national) sing-alongs provided visitors with an unforgettable and delightful experience.

This year’s “China Forest Song Festival” is themed “Sing a Mountain Song to the Party,” ingeniously blending “mountains” and “songs” to celebrate the beauty of green mountains and clear waters. With a primary focus on singing high praises for the Party’s centenary, the festival continues to explore new approaches for the development of Xihai Forest Tourism. This initiative also serves as an important step in enhancing the brand influence of Lushan Xihai Forest Tourism. Taking this event as an opportunity, Lushan Xihai will create an attractive tourist destination, champion a green lifestyle, and foster a new way of life that embraces nature and promotes simplicity and eco-friendliness.
