On October 12, Chen Jitian, a member of the municipal government’s Party leadership group and Party Secretary of the Scenic Area Party Committee, chaired a coordination meeting on the 5A-level tourism development initiative for Lushan Xihai at the Creation Office. Zheng Qinghua, Deputy Secretary of the Scenic Area Party Committee and Director of the Management Committee, and Zou Xiufeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, also attended the meeting.
The meeting conveyed and studied the guiding principles issued by Lin Binyang, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, during his field inspection of scenic areas regarding the 5A-level accreditation effort. The meeting also heard reports on the progress made by the Accreditation Office in addressing issues identified in the checklist, the current status of ongoing work, and the key challenges that need to be coordinated and resolved in alignment with the 5A-level scoring criteria. Additionally, the meeting discussed the tourism reception situation during the Golden Week holiday in October, including existing problems and future plans. Reports were presented on the ZheLin Old Town project and the progress made by various working groups, as well as the issues that require coordination and resolution. This further clarified the goals and direction and refined specific measures.
Chen Jitian pointed out that we must thoroughly implement the guiding principles set forth by Secretary Lin Binyang, consistently integrating the 5A creation concept and approach throughout the entire creation process. We must rigorously uphold the requirements for water accessibility, safety, entertainment, and tourism appeal, ensuring that scenic area projects are truly high-quality, exemplary, and free of corruption, and wholeheartedly strive to build a superior tourism environment and establish first-class tourist destinations. Chen Jitian demanded that... First, we must continuously review problems and strengthen rectification efforts. We must adopt a problem-oriented approach, meticulously crafting and refining each project with great care. We should repeatedly scrutinize key projects, starting from the smallest details and putting in painstaking effort. At the same time, we need to rationally arrange business formats and flexibly “add color, add flair, add fruit, and add fragrance.” Second, we must firmly commit to our goals and tasks and push forward with high standards. We need to further refine our work objectives and milestones, focusing on tourism sectors such as water-based tour routes, lighting enhancements, and performing arts. We should draw up a timetable and task chart, adhere strictly to established standards, and accelerate progress. Third, we need to play our 5A designation card effectively and strive for support. We should proactively reach out and communicate regarding matters that require coordinated solutions, and actively seek greater support from higher authorities in terms of policies, projects, and funding for the scenic area. Fourth, we must effectively manage project scheduling and promote progress in an orderly manner. Building on the district-wide overall scheduling, we must further refine and detail item-specific and block-specific scheduling, benchmark against standards to identify and address gaps, and implement each project scientifically and in an orderly manner according to established procedures and timelines. Fifth, we must continue to strengthen management and maintain a regular routine. We must organically integrate environmental improvement with high-quality development, maintaining unwavering commitment and sustained effort over the long term. We should carry out various environmental improvement initiatives on a regular basis, make every effort to enhance the quality of tourism services, and win positive feedback from tourists.
