Another year has brought the sweet fragrance of fruit—The mandarins of Yijiahe are ripe! Guided by market demand, this initiative is encouraging more people in the surrounding areas to join in the development of the citrus industry. It’s also drawing local residents to come and enjoy the beautiful scenery, savor the fragrant fruits, and experience the charm of rural life, thus opening a new chapter in Lu Shan Xihai’s rural leisure tourism industry.

On October 31, the Lushan West Sea Beachcombing Festival and the 14th Yijiahe Tangerine Picking Festival will kick off in Yijiahe, featuring a wonderful cultural and artistic performance for everyone on site!
Chrysanthemum Exhibition
This Sea-Gathering Festival will also offer visitors a visual feast, showcasing chrysanthemum culture and cultivation techniques through a chrysanthemum exhibition, and creating a platform for chrysanthemum enthusiasts and chrysanthemum growers to exchange ideas, learn from one another, and display their creations.
In the golden autumn, pick oranges and admire chrysanthemums—don’t forget to bring your camera and capture those beautiful moments!
Intangible Cultural Heritage Food Exhibition
Intangible Cultural Heritage Food Exhibition—featuring Jiangxi’s signature delicacies! On-site, you’ll find iconic dishes such as Liang Yilong Tea Cakes, Hukou Fermented Fish, Jiujiang Sealed-Cartridge Wine, Xiushui Whistles, Gongqing Braised Duck, Xinhé Bean Sprouts, Lushan Cloud Mist Tea, and Xiushui Ninghong Black Tea. West Sea Fish Head Culinary Competition
On the afternoon of October 31, the Yijiahe event venue will also host the Lushan Xihai Fish Head Cooking Competition. Twenty renowned chefs from across the country will compete live, preparing a 6-jin (approximately 3 kg) Xihai fish head within just one hour! In addition to enjoying a visual feast, attendees will also get to savor the delicious dishes straight off the stove—freshly baked and ready to be tasted!

The organizers are: Jiangxi Province Fishing Association and the Management Committee of Lushan Xihai Scenic Area, Jiangxi Province.
Competitors
Anyone aged 18 to 70 with good health is eligible to form a team and register for the competition (athletes from high-risk epidemic areas are temporarily not accepted). Teams must consist of two members, and the maximum number of teams allowed is 60 (120 participants).

October 31 to November 1, 2020.
Competition venue:
Jiangxi Lushan Xihai Yaochiwan Fishing Base (water depth within the competition area: 12 to 18 meters, with an average depth of approximately 15 meters).
