On September 5, Wu Shu, Secretary of the County Party Committee of Wuyuan County, led a delegation from the county’s party and government authorities to Lushan Xihai to conduct a study tour focusing on cultural tourism and socio-economic development. Chen Jitian, member of the municipal government’s Party Leadership Group and Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the scenic area, Zheng Qinghua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee, and Zou Xiufeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Working Committee, accompanied the delegation on their visit in turn.

The delegation visited and inspected, in succession, the Jiangxi Provincial Sports Bureau’s Lushan Xihai Training and Competition Base, the China Youth Water Ski Team’s Lushan Xihai Training Base, the Xihai Star Glass Observation Tower, the Jin’kou Visitor Center, the Zhonghai Lushan Xihai Tourism Resort, and the Xihai Fleet Ball Sports and Leisure Center. Through briefings, on-site observations, visits to enterprises, and inquiries about operational models, the delegation gained a detailed understanding of the scenic area’s distinctive sports programs, nature reserves, eco-tourism initiatives, and socio-economic development. They were deeply impressed by the picturesque landscapes of Lushan Xihai and highly praised the approach of leveraging the region’s excellent ecological resources to develop sports and leisure activities as well as eco-tourism.

During the inspection, Chen Jitian said that Wuyuan County and Lushan West Sea share many similarities and commonalities in areas such as eco-tourism and industrial development. In recent years, Wuyuan County has vigorously developed its tourism industry and has become a leader in rural tourism nationwide, earning widespread acclaim for its "Most Beautiful Village in China" brand. This inspection delegation came specifically to share their expertise and best practices—a rare opportunity for exchange and learning. We hope that in future development, we can further strengthen cooperation, share valuable experiences and effective approaches, and create a new chapter of economic and social development for both regions.
