The ancients believed that tea can purify the mind and remove evil spirits and produce emotions. It has the "three virtues", that is, it can be refreshed when sitting in meditation, and can not sleep at night; when the stomach is full, it can help digestion and lighten the spirit; when upset, you can get rid of distracting thoughts and get along peacefully. Therefore, tea drinking is most in line with Buddhist ethics and should comply with Buddhist canon. Therefore, it is naturally advocated by the Zen forest.
